About Greta **2nd Chance Cat Rescue**
The gorgeous Greta is a wildling girl who has slowly learned that humans can be kind.
Greta was trapped at approximately 3 months old and had likely not had human contact before. Her foster parents have worked really hard with her to develop her trust in people and it's an ongoing process.
When Greta first came into care she was terrified, but the support of her kitty foster sister got her through! Greta LOVES other cats and is really unfazed by the friendly resident dog. She smooches up to them at every opportunity!
She is such a pretty tabby girl with her little pixie face. She goes crazy playing with her catnip mice and her deep soulful eyes have probably seen too much for someone so little.
Greta couldn't be touched to begin with but with time she has built her confidence and now enjoys a pat on her terms and when you pick her up for a cuddle (if you carefully approach) she remembers that you're actually okay and can relax into a purr!
Greta will not be an instant lap cat and when you come for a meet and greet she will likely hide. Her foster parents have worked with her all that they can and she's ready for a forever home where she will continue to be loved and learn that life can be happy and safe.
In Greta's ideal home there would be no young children, they would frighten her too much and she wouldn't be the cat they would need. She would ideally have a friendly feline companion to show her the ropes and be a good role model. Perhaps you are returning to the office and your existing cat needs a friend. Greta would be perfect for the job!
Her foster parents are agonising about saying goodbye but it's her turn to find her forever home. Could yours be the one?
Greta is located in Avonsleigh.
