About Leeroy and Henry
Big Hearts, Big Personalities
Leeroy - 3 years and Henry - 4years
Leeroy and Henry are happy lads, brimming with love and good natured energy. Spending time with their humans is a favourite pastime and they like to be included family activities, especially if it involves being outdoors. Equally these snuggly boys enjoy quiet moments and will happily receive your adulation in the form of belly rubs and cuddles.
However Leeroy and Henry are not without their challenges. Leeroy has epilepsy.Although on medication, he has occasional seizures where the poor lad may vomit and lose control of his bladder. At these times he needs your love and care, especially afterwards when he shows signs of disorientation. Henry is a carefree boy when his owners are present but dissolves into despair when they disappear. His separation anxiety, while challenging, can be managed in the long term with concerted training and patience. When distressed, Henry’s anxiety manifests with chewing; he will shred and ingest anything made of material. Cushions, socks and undies beware!
Leeroy and Henry’s ideal home is as follows:
An adult family with someone home most of the day to provide the boys with the companionship they crave.
Nurturing and patient owners who are not phased by Leroy’s epilepsy or Henry’s separation anxiety.
An active lifestyle with daily walks, playful interactions, outings and for Leeroy opportunities to play with other friendly dogs.
No resident young children as Leeroy has shown signs of jealousy
No small animals or birds as Henry considers them ‘prey’
A fair sized garden to explore, play and do zoomies
Adoption Fee: $950for both.
