About Lyla
Lyla is a sweet natured, beautiful girl. After coming into care scared of the world, she has been building confidence and making friends. Lyla has been happily cohabiting with our small schnoodle and old Lab, but really she'd prefer to be with us humans.
Lyla enjoys her warm soft bed and her squeaky toys. She is just starting to play and understand the concept of "fetch". Lyla travels well in the car and walks beautifully on a lead. She will sit and wait for food, but hasn't been tested for recall as she's always by your side! Lyla has been sweet and gentle with our 9 & 11yo kids.
Lyla is ambivalent to our chickens but did break into our coop to eat their food. She hasn't been tested with cats, in the one brief encounter she's had, she showed signs of being intimidated. Lyla is cautious of everything. She can also be scared when meeting new dogs but hasn't had any difficulties on the dog beach or group walks.
Lyla doesn't like to be alone and will initially cry and whinge after we leave. Very secure fencing is a must as she can be very determined if she wants out, and can travel.
Lyla is a pleasure to foster and will make an amazing addition to any family. We will be sad to see her go! She is a timid girl and her new family will need to be patient as she settles in and help her feel safe. Once settled, she'll be your best friend for life
