About Archie ( Was Rodney)
Rodney is ready for his new home with someone who can give him all the attention he deserves!
Rodney is the Goose to you Maverick. He enjoys big cuddles and smooches, and just wants to be on you or near you! He'll sit at your feet while you make dinner and happily snore on your lap or next to you while you work.
He is totally comfortable being picked up, or helped onto a bench. Although it is not his favourite position. During the day you will find him snoozing away next you on the couch, as it his favourite spot, investigating from the window or enticing you into play with his heart melting snuffle! At night time he's happiest curled up next to you, or will jump under covers for quick cuddles before bed time! He will protest if separated to sleep on his own, so best to have his bed nice and close by.
Right now his favourite snack is roast chicken and he will dance at your feet, and lift his paws to stretch up closer to the delicious treat. A very gentle boy to feed.
Rodney is excellent on lead and doesn't pull at all. Gets very excited when we pick up his harness, will jump initially but stays still when you clip him in. However, on walks once he catches a smell he must investigate until he is satisfied! He's happy to meet other dogs and be polite, but more interested in cuddles and sticking close by.
This boy has lived with a with a cat, and is great as long as they both respect each others boundaries. He is very gentle with little kids too as long as they are gentle with him. He can be a little overwhelming for them as he is so affectionate and loves to lick! But knows to stop once gently moved away a few times. Rodney has been on 1 ½ hour car rides and curls up gladly to sleep on his bed. He's just happy to be where ever you are!
Rodney is a silly boy who acts first and asks questions later! He is very enthusiastic about life and would love someone who wants a companion.
