About Murphy
Please let us take this moment to introduce you to Murphy a gorgeous boy who’s rugged looks will you have thinking he is a tough guy but not so secretly he is a big softy who once comfortable in his surroundings, blossoms
Murphy and his two brothers came into care a few weeks ago and while they were in great health they were very sheltered and not used to many things that happened in the world.
Murphy and his brothers were very timid – getting into the car was a huge deal. Having a lead on was a big scary thing and their ‘go to’ was to drop on the ground and freeze.
Murphy’s foster mum has worked really hard with him on giving him confidence and excitement when learning new things and going for walks
Murphy is a 10 and a ½ month old Long Haired German Shepherd who like his brothers is just the most divine boy in the world and he is now waiting for his chance to find his forever family.
Murphy has had some help with getting confidence with other dogs in his foster carers home – he went from being scared of a small French bulldog barking saying hello to now playing with other big breed dogs and loving it.
We will be requiring that Murphy goes to a home with another dog for socialization and also just good old fashion company and play time!
Murphy is loving being able to sleep in side at night – he has a lovely big dog bed that he loves to sleep on but has been known from time to time sleeping away on the couch or a bed if allowed.
Murphy looooooves being around kids and will make the best play buddy (and snuggle buddy) for anyone with kids. Murphy loves a good tummy rub and his favorite activities are playing soccer and fetch with the kids.
Murphy is a gentle boy with lovely manners and will sit on command. He can sometimes in his excitement of playing jump and has been known to knock a small child over but he will always reward anyone he knocks over with a kiss and a sad puppy look.
Murphy's idea of heaven is being able to interact with his family – inside and outside the house.
Murphy is toilet trained
Murphy is very curious with the cat that lives at the house but that’s because he wants to be friends and still trying to win him over. Murphy is also good with the chickens (as long as they are in the pen – if they free range he will chase and try and get them to play with him)
Murphy has had a few hydro baths and grooms since being in care – unfortunately he did have a bit of a messy matted coat when he arrived, but he is now getting the hang of these and loves the cuddles that he gets from the groomer. He is also very happy to be brushed thru the week.
Murphy loves nothing more than at night time being in the house with his family - having belly rubs or cuddles and the smile he gives you makes it all worthwhile.
Murphy has a lot of love to give, and any family would be lucky to have him part of their lives
