NOTE: You are unable to meet Portia until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Portia in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• GIANT BREED EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• No other dogs as I can a bit dominant with them, but I will need to continue my socialising with other dogs in a controlled manner
• No cats as I may want to chase them
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit on command
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I love my food so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I am extremely strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this. Any potential adopters must be able to walk Portia daily and train her to walk gently on the lead. You MUST have the strength to be able to do this.
