Bo

Bo is a 12 month old and very sweet natured young man who has a great temperament. He fits right in and gets on well with other dogs. If everything gets too much for him he will de-escalate by removing himself from the situation.

He is happy to be outside during the day and loves being inside at night. He absolutely loves cuddles and scratches and is the biggest snuggle-bug. Bo would do well with a family that let him on the couch and let him sleep on the bed. He currently sleeps on either his soft bed or raised bed in the lounge room.

Due to his limited socialisation and basic training he is now playing catch up. He is a quick learner but can become excitable. With active house training he has only had one accident inside. He is slowly coming out of his shell and showing interest in toys, tugging and loves treats which is a bonus for his ongoing training.

Bo does not resource guard his food and has been very good when having all parts of his body touched, prodded and inspected as part of his cooperative care. He has no issues with most noises (food processor, blower vac) but didn’t like the creaking of the ironing board.
He is great in the car, he has travelled in both the back of the car and in a crate with no concerns. He is not vocal which is definitely a bonus!

Because he is a working dog breed Bo will need some physical and/or mental stimulation each day, a walk, meaningful play etc.

Bo would do well with a family that had another dog and kids and someone who was patient with his training and uses positive reward based training. Currently Bo is the most comfortable with females but is slowly warming up to the male members of the household. Once he trusts you, he will love you forever!
