About Harriet
Harriet is intelligent, affectionate, snuggly, keen to please, playful little gremlin.
She is currently in foster care with a trainer as she is fearful of people, unknown dogs and certain environments. Because of this she can get defensive if she isn’t given the right guidance to deal with her triggers.
Harri needs an experienced, knowledgeable and committed owner to continue her training and build her confidence. She has made great progress but her new owners will need to understand there will always be a level of management involved, so she is not put into circumstances that are too much for her to be able to make good choices.
Once she is comfortable Harriet is an amazing dog! She is super sweet and thrives with consistent boundaries.
She is currently living with two dogs and is brilliant with them, has made several new human friends with people that have allowed her to get comfortable in her own time.
Harri is extremely food driven and has a good interest in toy play. She has high prey drive which is a huge positive when channelled into training, but also makes her unsuitable for living with other pets, a compatible dog would be nice.
No children or cats please.
Highly trainable and LOVES to work, she would make an ideal dog for someone wanting to do a dog sport. She is already learning aspects of a sport and is nailing it.
Harriet is completely crate trained, toilet trained, great in the car, muzzle trained, learning to have her nails clipped and enjoys being brushed.
If you are someone willing to put in the time and training Harriet needs, please fill out an application. Her trainer will be available to work with her new person/people to assist with understanding her and building an amazing relationship.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
Medical notes
Harriet is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
She is in perfect health.
