Dre ~ 2yr Old Bulldog X Staffy(On Trial 6/8/22)

This happy guy is Dre! Dre is a 2yo Bulldog x staffy looking for his new best mate.

Dre is a cheeky character who will make you smile and fill your heart with love. He is an affectionate boy who just loves the company of people. He enjoys walks, food, taking in new smells, food, toys, treats, chase games and of course you guessed it food! He also has very good manners - he's a real all-rounder.

Dre has shown that he is dog friendly - he is keen to say hello to every dog he meets and he has previously lived with dogs of several sizes. However, those that know their staffies will know their exuberant love is best matched to dogs who enjoy that style! Dre has lived with kids and has been good with them, he can be a boofhead though so best suited to older kids.

While he mostly walks well on lead (in between stopping to stop to smell...well almost everything!), he will need a bit more training. At nearly 40 kgs he is a strong boy so confidence is needed when walking, mostly because he is Mr Social and likes to say hello to his other canine friends. Dre is food driven so responds well to training and with regular walks he will improve easily.

Dre needs to be a part of the family and be welcome inside the home whenever his people are home. He loves being around you and he also loves to sleep on the bed, so if that's your style, then all is good - if not, his carer is working on encouraging him to sleep on his dog bed (although he admits Dre is so cute it's hard to say no when he sneaks up). He does sleep well though and is housetrained.

Dre’s carer works full time and this hasn’t been an issue - he chills in the backyard, hasn’t been destructive and only barks at the cat next door or the random birds that stop by. He is untested with cats in the home - but based on his reaction to neighbouring cats they are likely a bit too interesting.

Dre is currently in foster care in the Newcastle area. His adoption fee is $400, and he is already de-sexed, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and microchipped.
