About Toto & Sheeba ~ Bonded Pair(On Trial 21/7/22)
Meet Toto AKA “Mumma” and Sheeba who are lovingly inseparable. We think they are mother and daughter.
Mumma is a black Maltese loving, gentle, sweet senior dog of 14 years who is still young at heart. She loves to play ball and wrestle with Sheeba. Yes, she can still chase a ball and surprisingly through strategy and wit rather than speed, she beats the other dogs to the ball. She brings the ball back to you or she may wonder off and keep it for a while. She still has some staying power in her to keep up with her foster friends but will crash n burn at the days end with a gentle snore in her bed.
Sheeba who is lovingly nicknamed “busy bee” is a Maltese X, super sweet, busy, fun, energetic little lady who has plenty of energy to burn. She loves to play ball A LOT and has a good spring in her step. She can bounce quite high when she is excited and when greeting you, so she might require some training to not jump up, but she is a lightweight so it’s not overly bothersome unless she lands on top of Mumma but even Mumma doesn’t seem to mind.
These girls are gentle sweet souls in every way. They both love their food; they eat anything and everything. Both love cuddles, a massage, brush in the sun and love to be near or on you, but they also like their space to play with each other or just relax. They are very easy-going social dogs. They haven’t been tested with cats.
They both play outside and inside. If you work away from home through the day, they will be fine outside but kept warm, dry and comfortable with plenty of toys to play with and bones to chew. Night-time of course they need to be inside where they can be warm dry and comfortable near you. I do feel they will benefit from company with other dogs as well if you have a playmate for them as they love company of any sort.
They are now toilet trained and use the doggie door regularly day and night. They come and go as they please. They would benefit from lead training as they want to sniff everything and anything along the way, so it’s a slow walking pace and usually at Mumma’s pace.
Mumma and Bee’s ideal furever home needs to have a doggy door and secure fencing. They
need to be always together and be allowed to sleep inside of a night especially. They will
require regular grooming so there will need to be room in the budget to groom both dogs.
Preferable family members will be home often, be committed to regular outside visits to the
toilet for continued training and be looking for loving companions.
For more information on Mumma and Bee, please contact his foster carer on
