About Pip
16.07.22 Update: Pip has now become comfortable with the sounds and movement in her foster home. She no longer bolts when approached and happily follows her foster carer around the house, tail in the air, hoping to get some pats. Pip loves to be talked to and picked up and carried around in her foster carer's arms, and curls up on her lap in the evening watching TV. Pip's super smoochy and loves affection!
~
Pip is a timid wee girl but she finds it hard to resist the rattle or shake of a fun toy. She loves interactive play time with her foster carer, which helps bring her out of her shell. Pip will benefit from lots of quality one on one interactive playtime in her new home, to boost her confidence and help her bond with her new family. Pip is very good with her toileting, she's never had any accidents or problems using her litter tray.
Pip is still wary of people and everyday household noises, like the bathroom fan and shower. Spooked by sudden movements, especially coming toward her. However she's been steadily gaining confidence since being in care and given patience and love, she'll continue to blossom in her forever home.
Pip has started to looove pats and head scratches. She loves them so much she flops to the floor purring in ecstasy, and nibbles and paws at her carer if she stops. Today she climbed on her carers lap for a snuggle and pats! She's still scared of being grabbed, but she will come close to her carer for pats during playtime and meals. And she's beginning to come up to her carer for pats and praise and interaction generally. She's then easily patted or picked up and will relax purring in her carers arms.
Pip's loving and affectionate with her sisters and foster-siblings. She loves playing with them and exploring their foster home together, playing chasey and hide n seek. And curling up in their arms for a nap. She's friendly and respectful toward the older cats who live in her foster home, and confident in their presence. She would settle in well to a home with older kitties providing they're gentle and friendly. Pip hasn't been tested around children, but might be ok with older, gentle and quiet children who are willing to respect her boundaries. Pip requires an indoor only home, or with access to a catio.
Medical notes
