If you looked up 'best dog' in the dictionary, you'd find a picture of Bilby. Everyone that meets her will tell you she's the best dog they've met. Bilby top 3 past times are car rides, walks (particulalry on the beach) and sleeping. Bilby is fantastic with children - she loves to play and is very patient with their antics. Bilby is a super loyal companion and just likes to know you are around. She enjoys watching the world go by from her favourite spot on the deck. Bilby is housetrained, comes when called (mostly) and knows basic commands. She puts on a little dance when you come home from work and will make you laugh at her unique personality. Bilby came to us because after 2 years of living happily together with her 4 legged sister, they decided to start fighting and her owner had to make the painful decision to rehome 1 dog. Since being in our care Bilby can be super social with other dogs, but can also be selective. Bilby will let you know she isn't happy about a dog by giving a warning growl allowing time for her to be steered away with no issue. For this reason, we would prefer for Bilby to be rehomed as an only dog. She currently is fostered in a home as an only dog and loves the attention. Her foster carers say she is super easy going and a dream to look after (they'd like to keep her but their situation just won't allow them to make a long term commitment to a dog at the moment :() If you are looking for an easy going dog that enjoys an adventure and will love you like there's no tomorrow, Bilby is your girl.
