About Bear
Bear is a very soft and cuddly 2 year old Red Heeler. He is very affectionate and playful, and learns quickly.
Bear’s favourite thing to do is play with his doggy friends. He loves all dogs, big and small and his desire to play knows no limits. When no other dogs are around, he converts into a couch potato and is content curled in a ball in his doggy bed or cuddling his human friends.
Bear is not dog reactive and is has only briefly lived with cats with no issue. He is happy sharing food and toys with his dog friends. He walks well on the lead, and has quickly learned basic commands like sit and stay. He is very food driven, but will sit and wait to eat dinner until his human friend says “ok”. Areas where he could benefit from more training are not jumping up when he is excited and recall when he has found a new friend to play with. Bear is also less trusting of men than women. He needs slow introductions with men, but can make friends with anyone if they take the time to gain his trust.
Bear has responded well to children when he has met them on lead, but might need more training with not jumping up before he could play with them unsupervised. He would be very happy in a home with other dogs, but would also be happy on his own as long as he had regular play dates with furry friends.
Medical notes
Bear has been desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
