About Charlie
She's curious, bright, playful, assertive, competitive and adventurous, but she can be a little cautious and nervous around new people and in new environments.
An avid foodie, Charlie likes to follow her foster carer around the kitchen, and up on the dining table too, so you better keep an eye on your dinner... She's very motivated by food, and toys, and can't resist the rattling of a ball or a dangly wand. She loves chasing all the toys – balls, wands, plush mice – and she really loves interactive games with her foster carer, and chasing her siblings! In between eating and playing, Charlie loves to bask in the sun on a comfy blanket, or curled up with her little mate Cricket.
Since coming into care, Charlie's confidence is growing rapidly. She's still a little wary of human hands after a rough start in life, so requires patience and a gentle approach. However she's gentle and smart, and understands that in exchange for food, she's willing to put up with being patted - which turns out feels pretty good! Especially with a full belly! She's even started to enjoy being picked up and carried around in her foster carer's arms. Charlie's very interested in the daily activities of her carer and will pop her head into the bathroom and follow her carer from room to room to see what the human is up to.
Charlie has access to a catio in her foster home, which she shares with two older resident cats, plus her foster siblings. She loves to sit in the catio and watch the birds in the morning, and climb the ladders and the catwalks. She's bold, respectful and very affectionate with the older cats who live in her foster home. She loves to follow them around and lovingly brushes up against them.
Charlie requires an indoor only forever home, preferably with access to a catio. She's not too spooked by a little bit of noise, but she can flinch or bolt if she thinks you're coming to grab her, even if you're not. Charlie might be ok with older gentle children who understand not to chase or grab her. She would settle in well to a home with older friendly cats.
If you're considering adopting two kittens, Charlie would love to be adopted with her little mate Cricket!
