About Beetle
This gorgeous girl is affectionately known as Beetle. She is a playful, friendly little girl who will warm to anyone that gives her cuddles and shows her love.
Beetle is a smart cookie and very food motivated. She enjoys learning new things and already knows sit and is learning to wait for her dinner patiently. She sleeps through the night without a peep and alerts her carer if she needs the toilet. She walks well on leash for a puppy and enjoys going out into the big wide world to see new things.
Currently, Beetle is in care as an only dog and she is doing really well, but could do equally as well sharing her home with another adult, friendly and confident dog. She is independent enough to be left alone for short periods of the day and usually just takes herself off to sleep or entertains herself playing. She will need someone home more often than not or if there is another dog at home, people who only work part time out of the house as she is a puppy.
Beetle was one of our parvo survivors and will need to be kept on hills I/d diet until she can be weaned off it once settled in her new home. Due to missing a bit of socialisation being in the vets and then isolation, her new owners will need to be diligent with her continued socialisation with people, new places and other dogs.
Out and about she is quite confident and enjoys going for daily walks. She can be a little shy with new dogs, but after proper introductions she loves a good play. She is not suited to dog parks as she will need many more positive interactions with dogs in controlled settings like play dates or pack walks. She can sometimes get a little over excited wanting to say hi to people!
This girl absolutely loves to sunbake, so a home with an outdoor area is necessary so she can spend some time outdoors during the day. Although she is doing really well for a pup who missed a couple of weeks of socialisation, she is not suited to first time dog owners as she will need an owner who can show her the ropes if she is feeling a little bit overwhelmed.
Beetle will have moderate exercise needs and will require a home committed to daily outings and lots of fun. She needs a home where she will be allowed inside as part of the family and provided a nice warm bed to sleep in of a night inside. She is currently sharing her home with a tiny baby who she is very gentle with, so we feel she could live with dog savvy children although she is your typical puppy and will jump and nip occasionally if excited.
This girl is seriously divine in both looks and nature. She is very affectionate and cuddly. Her new family will be up for a lifetime of fun and adventure with this gorgeous pooch.
If you feel you can provide Beetle with the amazing forever home she deserves, fill out an adoption enquiry application from our fetching dogs website as the next step in the process.
Medical notes
Medical note: Beetle arrived into care with a poorly conformed front paw. Although this isn’t causing her any pain, it may develop arthritis earlier than her other joints. Putting her on supplements may be a good idea. Any suitable applicants will be provided with more information.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
