About Holly ~ 5mo Jack Russell Puppy(On Hold 11/8/22)
Holly the 5 month old, Jack Russell pup is the dog her carer never knew they needed, untill she is sitting curled up on their lap.
But do not be fooled, this little firecracker is as intensely devoted to her energetic puppy endeavours as she is to finding a warm place to snuggle. Holly has a sweet personality but when it's play time, she is all go. She is a capable and agile jumper on furniture, kennels, window sills and any other dog/person/object in her flight path. She gets the zoomies and does full speed laps of the yard. She is also partial to digging for treasure if not supervised outside.
Holly is smart, can play fetch and is food motivated, which means training her will be easy. However, she is extremely timid with new people and will run away if you reach down to grab her. She is gaining confidence in her foster home, but her forever owner will need to put some time in with her initially to gain her trust. She has had no training prior to care, but she is learning to use pee pads inside.
Holly is joined at the hip to her big foster sister. She would desperately love to be rehomed with another dog, but that dog will have to be extremely tolerant of an annoying and energetic pup and young enough to want to play. Being able to tell her when enough is enough will also be important. Holly is often underfoot, so she needs owners who can manage that. She must be allowed to live inside as part of the family and if children are part of that deal, they must be old enough to be respectful of her little body and timid nature.
For more information on Holly, please contact her foster carer on their email hitthesand@hotmail.com. Holly is in foster care in Salamander Bay, NSW. Holly's adoption fee is $800 and includes all up to date vet work. This includes microchipping, vaccinations, treatment for fleas and worms and the cost of her desexing as well.
As Holly is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption in Sydney, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing.
