About Figaro
*In foster care in Summer Hill, Sydney*
Named after the adorable tuxedo kitty from the film Pinocchio, Figaro is the ultimate lap cat!
Known as Fig in his foster home, he's an incredibly loving and affectionate boy who craves constant companionship :) He starts to purr loudly as soon as he's held, booped or stroked, and quickly bonds with the humans (and other friendly felines) in his life.
Fig's priorities in life include access to people, cats and treats... LOTS of treats! When he's not busy snuggling, he can usually be found wrestling and rumbling with his cat toys or hanging out with his furry foster siblings.
Like all Maggie's pets, Figaro is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with a human or two who are homebodies and can shower me with love and attention, day and night! My start to life was pretty rough - I was found hiding under a car as a baby - so I don't really like to be left alone for too long.
An environment that's lively but not too hectic would also be best, as loud or sudden noises may cause me duck for cover! I'm energetic and quite vocal too, so be prepared for some early morning meows leading up to breakfast time.
I adore receiving pets on my silky-soft fur and can happily cuddle up on my favourite human for hours on end :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I love my cat toys and sometimes bust out a zoomie, but I'm mostly quite placid in temperament. However, I do get a big burst of energy during meal time! I'm still learning to trust that I'm safe and that nobody will let me go hungry again.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Because I can be startled by loud or sudden noises I may not feel comfortable around young children, but I can likely adapt to older kids. I enjoy being picked up and handled once I'm settled and feeling confident in my new digs.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: If you have to leave the house for work or chores (ugh, how annoying!), I'd totally love another cat to keep me company! My foster brothers have been taking good care of me and teaching me how to groom myself and use the litter tray, and we take every opportunity to snooze in a big cuddle pile :)
A kind-hearted older cat would be lovely to live with, I think - someone who'll let me spend my days snuggling up to them. I don't like engaging in rough play with other cats so I'd definitely prefer a gentle companion.
I'm yet to encounter a dog so not sure how that would go!

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
