About Sissy
My name is Sissy and I am Border Collie cross. When I first came to HPH I was in an awful mess emotionally. I was very afraid of everyone, had to be carried to my enclosure, would not go near my carers and looked as though I would never learn to trust. However, after weeks of gentle and understanding care, today I come up to my carers when they encourage me, love a pat and a cuddle and just want to please. I am still shy and a little anxious but that is because I am finding my way with new people every day. I would love some training because I want to be completely socialised and accepted. But I promise I will be totally loyal and try my best at everything. Maybe you would be the right person for me
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
