Toby

Please meet TOBY, a Jack Russell Terrier/Kelpie x Cattle Dog puppy born on 15 March 2022.

Toby's mum is a JR-Kelpie of small build and his dad is an Aussie blue cattle dog.

In this particular breed mix, there are a lot of complementary qualities, some or all of which may end up in Toby. The JRT is a playful, independent, energetic, and plucky little dog. Trainable, smart, and very alert, he's a dog with a big personality. The Kelpie is sweet-tempered, eager to please, loyal and very clever. Doesn't everyone love a Kelpie? As for the cattle dog, he is an exceptional problem-solver, very loyal to his family and inclined to be reserved with strangers.

Toby is a clever, active and very playful pup. He is completely house-trained, walks well on a lead and sits on command.

He's an affectionate pup, is used to living with children and is cat and dog friendly.

To be happy and content, Toby will need an abundance of love and attention, along with plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation.

Toby's adoption fee is $795. At adoption, he will be desexed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Preference will be given to a home where someone is around most of the time, there is another dog for him to play with and Toby will get the training, socialisation and care he needs to reach his full potential.

Prior experience with Jack Russells and/or working breeds will be well regarded. He is not suited to full-time workers. Secure fencing is essential.
