ABOUT MARLIN

Hello! Nice to meet you! I'm Marlin... I am the kindest goodest boy you will ever meet, or at least that's what my foster mum says. I'm a charmer for sure. Give me a chance to hold your hand and nestle in your lap, and I'll melt your heart too. I'm always excited to make new friends and gentle enough for even the smallest of playmates. Rough play and wrestling is a bit scary to me, so I tend to play statue, but I'm learning that some nibbles and growls are ok. Though my favourite game is fetch and/or keep away, any excuse to leap and bound makes me happy.

I have long legs, and I need stretch them daily. During my rest time (and I like lots), I love being close to someone. My doggy foster sister and I like to snuggle together whenever the humans are too busy to be giving us pats, and I appreciate it when she cleans my ears and face. But my favourite spot is on top of my person, locking eyes and arms. So if you'd like a significant lap dog to join you for tv time, I'm the man for you! I sit and stay like the best of them, but will need a gentle hand learning new commands as I scare easily (even just an angry tone).

I could do with a bit of training and practice walking nicely on the lead, but I will return to you when you call me without fail. My number one priority is making my person happy, so I am always attentive and eager to please. I have had to move house so many times, and I really do love with all my heart. I hope that the next family I join will be forever. Love, stability, and belonging is all I have been craving. Can I find that with you?

Escape Artist: Marlin is a known escape artist and requires tall (over 6ft) fencing.
Separation Anxiety: Marlin has displayed some behaviours of anxiety in the home and has not been left unsupervised while in care.
Timid: Marlin is quite a timid boy and will take time to adjust and warm to new surroundings. Gentle training guidance will be necessary for Marlin.
