About Bianca
Bianca, known as Bee and sometimes Queen Bee to her foster family loves all her humans. Her main aim in life is to make you happy. She delights in your laughs and smiles at her antics. Bee loves your attention whether it's for cuddles and pats or just being with you at home relaxing. Bee is excellent at relaxing.
Bianca is a striking beauty with her plush soft white and black coat. Her foster carer says it feels like cashmere.
Bee is quite a comedian too. When Bee gets excited she does this big open mouth smile and has absolutely no control of her body and will cut laps and stumble around in the room. She is a completely uncoordinated girl and can often be found falling off the couch or tripping over her long legs. Her foster carers think it is the most endearing thing in the world!
From day one Bianca had pet-life sorted. She has learnt the family routines and gets along with the kelpie very well. We are still refining her manners a little though. Bee is learning that human food is not for sharing with her. She does responds to a firm “no” or “nah-a !”
Bianca does like her two walks a day. You won’t get too far as there is too much to check out and sniff along the way. There are also neighbours to say hello to and, hopefully stop for a quick pat. Bee isn’t the biggest fan of busy streets so may take some patience where there’s lots of traffic. However Bianca does love car rides. She is an excellent passenger, usually happy to snooze for most of the journey.
After her walk, Bianca is happy for a big satisfied nap. Maybe a bit later she will have a zoom for 5 minutes in the yard. Bianca has a favourite spot in the yard beside the veggie patch where she can catch some sun for a little while.
Bianca enjoys the company of her kelpie buddy and she is generally happy to meet other polite dogs on her walks or playdates. She will shy away from some strange or excitable dogs but is getting more confident. Bee would be fine in a home with another suitable dog. If she is an only dog, she will need her humans home more often than not and some patience for her to adjust to being alone.
Bee has so much love to give and would be happiest spending her days cuddling her humans and showing them how much she loves them.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
