About Jess
This elegant and beautiful dog is JESS, a female Irish Wolfhound mix born around 2015.
At 28.7 kgs, Jess is not your typical towering Wolfie. She's basically a "mini" version of the noble and ancient Irish breed. A medium-sized dog, she has the wiry hair, head and body shape, whiskers and beautiful amber eyes of the Wolfhound.
A very affectionate girl, she loves a cuddle with her favourite humans. She doesn't jump up and is naturally well-mannered. However, she hasn't yet learnt to sit.
Jess is great with other dogs but will withdraw when she's had enough. She's untested with children and cats and doesn't like chooks unless they form part of her evening meal.
She tends to bark "goodbye" when you leave in the morning and "welcome home" in the evening. Aside from that, she's very quiet.
She is completely house-trained and is very much an inside-outside dog.
Gentle and easy-going, she's a low maintenance dog that had no trouble fitting into her foster home.
Jess's adoption fee is $495 and she is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
If you are interested in meeting her, please complete the online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Kindly ensure that you include photos of your yard and fencing.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and/or there's another compatible dog in residence. Prior Wolfhound experience will be highly regarded.
Jess lives in Warwick, Queensland and is available for interstate adoption.
