About Cookie Is Trying A New Home!!
I'm trying a new home to see if i like it
cookie came into the pound in quite good condition. Her coat was not too badly matted and as she is a nice looking dog she soon found herself adopted straight from the pound. cookie's new owners took her to their vet and upon examination it was discovered that cookie has cataracts. This is not a common condition in a dog so young however it does happen. Unfortunately cookie's new owners decided that they would bring her back to the pound as they did not want a dog with a serious eye condition and we understand that most people would feel this way not wanting a dog who could go blind early on in her life. paws decided to take a chance on cookie as she is a wonderful little dog with a big heart. Cookie has an appointment with dr mark bilson the doggy ophthalmologist on monday 6 december and our christmas wish for cookie is that she can have surgery to correct the cataracts and go on to have a wonderful life with a family who will love her forever! cookie is in foster care with a couple of cats, two small dogs, three children and a mum. She went off to scouts with the family and was hugely popular as cookie loves children and was very excited to see them all running and playing and was very well behaved with them. cookie sleeps on the bed with her foster mum and a cat and she lays on her back with her legs in the air and snores her head off. She has a funny habit of climbing onto the back of the couch and sleeping with half of her body hanging down, reminding her foster carer of a cat! cookie has a fabulous personality and no 'issues'. . . She loves food and eats everything in sight, happily sharing with her doggy friends. At this time, cookie's eyes do not seem to be causing her any problems and she is blissfully unaware that without surgery she may go blind in the future. Hopefully dr mark will tell us that cookie can have corrective surgery and she will go off with a lovely family to start her life over again. We will give you an update once cookie has had her ophthalmologist consultation. Cookie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $350 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. If you would like more information on cookie or to arrange to meet her, please phone 0466 690916 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading.
