About Chrissy ~ 6yr Old Jack Russell X(On Trial 24/7/22)
Meet cute n cuddle Chrissy. Chrissy is a super happy and healthy 6-year-old Jack Russell x who loves humans. Chrissy can be a little unsure at first, but once she learns you're there to love her, she will show you her amazing personality.
Chrissy can be a little unsure at first, but is the most gentle loving girl. She loves the quieter side of life, enjoying the creature comforts awarded to her in her foster home. She loves to snuggle on the lounge, and is the most amazing sleeping buddy - often sleeping well into late morning!
Chrissy is housetrained, and walks very well on the lead and harness. She adores her warm coat during winter, and will take all the cuddles and belly rubs you will give her. She loves to be with her foster family at all times, meaning she would suit a family, couple or single who will allow her to come inside and be part of the family. She will sit and roll when instructed, and has lovely basic manners and skills. She can sometimes jump up a bit, but is gentle when she does so. We think this is due to her just wanting to be as close as she can all the time, she truly is an amazingly committed and loving girl.
Chrissy has made a friend that is a Maltese cross mix and she is happy to play with her off leash. In saying that, she is not particularly friendly to all dogs. Chrissy needs to be in a home as an only pet. She prefers to play with her toys on her own, and prefers to do zoomies around the house/yard. We think she may be able to be housed with another doggo, but this will take some time and a few introductions to make sure they are the perfect match. With time and patience, she would potentially have the ability to be more friendly to other dogs.
Chrissy isn't a fan of thunderstorms, and will need extra cuddles when they are about. Chrissy is not overly active in terms of walks, but needs a good solid walk at least once a day. She is very happy to stay alone as long as she has her comfy bed and a blanket. She loves to burrow underneath her blanket for long periods, particularly in the morning. What a snuggle bug!
Chrissy's perfect home would be:
- No other dogs or pets
- Children over 10years who are dog savvy
- A couple, or single who is home more often than not
- Someone who understands dogs who are less confident and understand the commitment and steps to take in helping them over come them
- Her own comfy cosy bed with heaps of blankets for her to snuggle with, and loads of toys
- A daily walk, and to be invited inside with her people
Chrissy will need a medium - large size yard as she does really love zoomies. She will require secure fencing with no small gaps or escape routes are essential for any new owners. Fencing will need to be minimum of 5ft, and preferred colourbond or similar.
For more information on Chrissy, please contact her foster carer on their email colleencsavas@gmail.com. Chrissy is in foster care in Lemon Tree Passage, NSW and is available for adoption interstate. Chrissy's adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
