About Billie
The beautiful and amazing Billie is now seeking her forever home
Billie is a 7 year old working Maremma that WILL Not be adopted to a suburban home so please DO not bother applying if you do not meet her criteria
Billie is one of the sweetest Mareemas I have had the pleasure of working with
When she arrived she was very underweight and timid of humans as Billie had lived a long part of her life locked in a shed on a block with other farm animals and it seemed she was mainly eating chicken food
Billie has been with us now some 3 months and her weight is fantastic and she is very happy to great her humans when we do the egg run in the mornings and take her dinner in the evenings
Billie has had a full dental completed
Billie has been running with a flock of 20 plus chickens 24/7 for around 3 months in which she lives, sleeps and protects at all times
She will share her food with the flock and follow them around the paddock as the move around the vicinity then come in with them at night
Billie sleeps wherever her flock are at night and as per true Maremma will bark at all things that she feels are threats to her flock
Billie has also had mini horses and sheep in her enclosure and has been great with all
She has never attempted to dig out or to jump fences
Billie is currently on a diet of premium kibble . Raw chicken . Lamb bones and Prime 100 and her enthusiasm for food has been a delight to watch as it did take her time to start enjoying food
Billie is not an affectionate girl but does enjoy a quick pat and the occasional Belly scratch at times
Billie has had absolutely no issues with other dogs and would probably work in well with a working pack but is also more that happy to work as a stand alone
As true to breed Billie loves to be dirty and has no care about keeping clean nor is she worried about rain.
We have not had billie over laying season with mums and chicks so we do not know what she is like in this situation but she has never hurst andy of the poultry here
We have worked really hard to get Billie to this next stage in her life and she will only be adopted to the best of working homes
Billie requires the following in her forever home
Working poultry home only
Secure fencing with a min of ringlock fencing
Experienced LSG home

We do this as we have seen way to many Alpha issues as dogs get older and never want our dogs to be in this situation so please understand and respect our policy.
