About Dakota
Dakota is a dog with a beautiful nature. She is young and has lots of energy. Her favourite game to play with humans and other dogs is tug of war. She also loves pulling apart cardboard so save up your toilet rolls for her to help you break them into little pieces to save space in the recycling bin.
If you are looking for a dog that is always up for going on an adventure with you then Dakota is the dog for you. She is good on the lead, sits on command, is treat motivated and keen to learn more. After spending the day out and about or playing in the yard Dakota will happily hang out with you in the evening chewing on a rope or sleeping while you put your feet up and watch TV.
If Dakota sounds like a good fit for your home head to our website and submit an application radarescue.org/adoption
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website https://radarescue.org/adoption
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within two weeks of the adoption.
