About Princess Peach
Princess Peach
Is a 10 week old female Staffy x Wolfhound who is looking for a family to love.
WE feel based on her breed and weight she will grow to a large size med
As with all pups is an energetic , who loves spending time with her brother and playing with all of her toys and loves to cuddle on the sofa and sleeping alongside you whilst chilling
Training has begun for toilet, sitting, shake and recall – although it is still very early and would encourage investment/time in puppy training to get the best out of her.
She has managed well with a small property as she is just a pup, although will need lots of space to play where she can expel her energy. She is dog social as she spends all day with her brother, we have yet to take her out for walks due to her age/vaccination just being done and prefers spending time inside at the moment because of the cold/rainy weather.
Her days begin quite early at around 6am where she is taken out for toilet training, depending on weather/cold/rain etc she spends an hour or 2 playing in or outdoors with her brother with toys. Outdoors she loves to explore and picks around in the garden for anything she can chew on.
She eats around 8am and then has a number of sleeps / plays during the day. Dinner time at 5pm gives her a burst of energy and play for a little bit before unwinding and going to bed.
She is currently sleeping in a Doggy Crate and we bring her out for toilet breaks at 10pm, 12am & 2:30am. These are currently set routines to enable her to recognise to go outside for the toilet and return back to sleep in her crate as soon as her business is done.
She loves spending her time with our teenage daughter and would fit in well in a family environment.

OBEDIENCE
+ Can be well behaved, is food motivated and will sit when waiting for food (or treat)
+ Is starting to learn the Sit/Shake hands command and will do when food is used
+ Is starting to understand that outside is for toilet and generally does what she needs as soon as she is taken outside
+ Sleeps in the house during the night
+ Loves Cuddles / Playing with toys or dogs
- When outside will scratch at door to be let in – needs further training
ENRICHMENT
Princess Peach, like most young puppies has lots of energy. Most of her time is running around with her brother, playing with her toys inside or exploring the garden outside. She has become aware of birds, and stalks them around the yard until they fly away 😊
She is happy to relax at home, although loves to explore the outdoors as well. Time spent in the back yard and when trained, going out for regular walks would be appreciated and will help burn some of that energy.
SLEEPING
She has been sleeping inside (in a doggy crate) and whilst she usually starts to relax at around 8pm, she may have small naps between 8pm and 12am, with small toilet breaks when she starts to become unsettled by making some noise with her yawns. Throughout the day She spends most of her time inside and outside whilst we are working from home. She is well mannered and to help her settle at night she will need her comfort teddies and a soft blanket.
SOCIALISATION
Princess Peach has spent her whole time in care with her siblings. Recently she has spent most of her time with her brother ‘Toad’ who shows her affection towards him and loves to wrestle and play with rope toys/ teddies together.
She will need to spend time with older dogs for them to acclimatize to her energetic personality.
Has had no interaction with cats, so am unsure of how she would react.
FOOD
She eats dry food only (puppy food) and we use the same dry food for training/treat rewards. She eats 2x a day and has no problems polishing off her meal
She is on a premium diet of #Savoulife Puppy Food
HYGIENE
Princess Peach has had a few baths. She doesn’t like the water, although persistence should alleviate the anxious behavior during bath time & have only towel dried her at this stage
TRAVEL/CAR
She travels in a dog carrier at this stage and settles pretty quickly and just relaxes. This will be something that will need to be worked on
IDEAL HOME
-Decent size backyard with grass for her to run and play on, secure fences and shelter is a must
- Ongoing puppy school to help further her training and for socialisation
-Daily walks are a must (shorts walks while she is still a puppy)
-If you have a dog they must be male. The current resident dog must be of a temperament that can adapt to puppy development, and she must be well socialised with other dogs (do not apply if your dog has not been socialised recently)
-New family must understand that puppies take time to settle and all things puppy, including crying, chewing and training is a must.)
