About Juniper
The absolutely adorable Juniper is now seeking his forever home.
He is a 10 week old Jack Russell x Healer x Staffy puppy.
Junipers current weight is just 4.5 kilos
Based on his age and current weight we think he will possibly grow to a smaller medium size dog.
Juniper is a typical puppy. He is extremely happy to see you and appreciates all the time you offer him. He is full of beans and loves playing/wrestling with his sister. We think he is so cute and extremely confident. If there’s mischief to get into he will lead the way!lol He has a beautiful coat that will probably require minimal brushing as he gets older. One of his absolute favourite things is a good play and wrestle and any stimulating activities eg chewing toys, digging up the plants lol
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
OBEDIENCE
Juniper is only a baby and will require someone to take him to puppy school to help him be the bestest boy possible. He really is a switched on little boy who is very clever so, if he is given the right training from the start you will be rewarded with an amazing best friend. Juniper loves his human foster brothers (3 & 5)but quickly becomes too much by jumping up and biting their clothes. He will need lots of enrichment and toys and would definitely love a K9 companion because if bored he will get into anything!lol
ENRICHMENT
Juniper is your typical puppy that has lots of energy, he loves to come inside and check everything out and will cry at the back door asking to come in, especially in this cold weather. He will need stimulation when alone for long periods, such as chewing on bones (as he gets older) or toys. If left for too long, he can get bored and create his own entertainment by pulling things around the yard, digging or chewing whatever he finds.
SLEEPING
He has been sleeping outside under the alfresco in a kennel with his sister but would much rather be inside with his family.
SOCIALISATION
Juniper has met a few canine friends and is always so excited to see them, he can become to much for the older resident dog. If Juniper is told off by another K9 he does calm down and back off. He has also met the resident cats and will try to play with them but once he’s told to back off he will. He has shown playful cheeky affection to all of us equally and is happy to follow us around curiously.
We feel that Juniper will be best suited to a family with a playful female dog who is easy going and gentle with puppies
As he is very social we are looking for a home who will keep him well socialized.
FOOD
Juniper has been excellent to feed, he has been free feeding which means his bowl is constantly full with premium dry food and he will only eat when he's hungry.
HYGIENE
Juniper will need regular baths to keep him looking fabulous.
TRAVEL/CAR
He has been excellent in the car in the carrier, he only cried for a second and then settled and enjoyed the ride.
IDEAL HOME:
We feel Juniper would thrive in a home with a family that is willing to take him to puppy school and continue with his training and, also continue to socialise him. He is a very smart boy who has lots of potential and love to give. He would love a female k9 sister or a family who is home all the time. Juniper would prefer to be an inside dog with easy outside access, giving him the freedom to go about his day as he sees fit. His family will need to invest time in him and ensure he has daily enrichment because he is both intelligent and cheeky. He loves to run and play so a decent yard would be perfect for him.
Decent size backyard with grass for him to run and play on, secure fences and shelter is a must
- Ongoing puppy school to help further his training and for socialisation
-Daily walks are a must (shorts walks while he is still a puppy)
-If you have a dog they must be female. The current resident dog must be of a temperament that can adapt to puppy development, and she must be well socialised with other dogs (do not apply if your dog has not been socialised recently)
-New family must understand that puppies take time to settle and all things puppy, including crying, chewing and training is a must.)
