About Archie Jnr
Hi my name is Archie and I am a 3 ½ year old chihuahua.
I have been living with my Foster Mum for the past 8 weeks now. In the beginning it was a bit ruff though as I was in a lot of pain. It actually began before I was given up for adoption and lucky for me my problem was picked up and treated as soon as I came into care.
I can be a very nervous little boy when meeting new people and try to cover this with barking and growling aggressively but once I know that you're not going to hurt me I calm down and want to be your friend.
I have a number of good qualities such as;
Lovely manners and will sit when offered treats or my meals,
I play well with other little dogs,
I'm a great water bottle and will snuggle on your lap to keep you warm,
I love to follow you around so you will never be lonely,
I am a great watch dog and will let you know if there is someone at your door.
I'm more of an inside dog but do like to go outside to explore sometimes especially if you come with me as I don't like being alone very much. I'm also learning to go outside to go potty but if I get confused and pee on the mat I'm sorry as I was previously trained to go on a mat inside.
I love to go in the car and am happy to be in my harness and seatbelt but when it comes to walking on a lead I get very scared, so my new family will need to be very patient with me.
I'm also not that fussed on cats and have been known to chase them.
When I first arrived at my foster home I slept in my own little pen next to my Foster mums bed but now I like to sleep in the bed with her especially if I can get right under the covers.
My Foster Mum says that I am a precious little fella and knows that there is someone special out there just for me.
Medical notes
3 year old Archie is desexed and microchipped. He is also up to date with vaccinations, flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention.
Archie has recently had his teeth cleaned, and has also had some leg x-rays done due to having some mild patella luxation, The x-rays looked ok and his patella’s don’t affect him at this stage, however we would recommend starting him on a joint support supplement to help as he ages.
