URGENT - we need to save this boy

Meet Rubble – a 2.5 year old Rottweiler x German Short Haired Pointer.

Rubble has been raised in the same household as his brother and mother. He recently had an altercation with his brother which is known as “littermate syndrome”. This is due to siblings being raised in the same household beyond the normal 8 to 10 weeks of age when puppies are usually going to new homes. Not all siblings raised together will exhibit this problem but it is a risk and we try to discourage siblings being adopted together.
Unfortunately in this situation, Rubble has also not had any socialisation with the outside world or other dogs so he has really only known his backyard, his brother and his mother. When he was brought into the vet he was extremely anxious and very scared which made him come across as aggressive.

He has only been at the vet a little while and we have already noticed a big change in him - he is learning that it is ok to be out of his comfort zone and that people are nice. He is not as scared and anxious as he was and is starting to lap up the attention...... especially if it involves a pat or two. Rubble really is a good boy who deserves a second chance, and we believe he has loads of potential.
