About Jonah
* Only available for adoption within NSW or the ACT
Profile and needs in a home
Jonah is a beautiful friendly gentle 15 yr boy in need of a caring single older person/couple or family.
He loves his food, walks, car rides, and exploring and is good on the lead.
He's a little wary of cats so a home without cats or a quieter cat would be the best fit for little Jonah.
Jonah has been doing very well with his housetraining. His new owner will of course need to set him up to succeed in his new environment
He loves being around his people and is inquisitive about new environments.
Jonah would be suited to a quieter household
Jonah has difficulty hearing and he has cataracts but still has vision.
He does have arthritis and a mild heart murmur which is manageable with medication. His new owner must be prepared to provide for Jonah's regular grooming and vet needs.
Jonah can cope with a few stairs, slowly, however jumping on and off furniture is a bit problematic for him at his age so a home that has minimum stairs and stairs/ramp to lounge would be the best fit.
He will make a great family member as he is a beautiful gentle boy.
Please make sure you include with your enquiry as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your other pets if any, family members, lifestyle, how often Jonah would be alone, where he will have access in the home and where he would sleep of a night, where Jonah would go if you went away and could not take him with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide so that we can see if Jonah is a suitable match for you.
Thank you
Medical notes
Mild heart murmur, arthritis, and cataracts. Both the heart murmur and arthritis are managed with medication
