About Tex & Red
â¨PLEASE READ THE ADD BEFORE APPLYINGâ¨
Tex and Red are available for adoption and while we are listing them on the same listing, we are not adopting them out as a pair we are looking for seperate homes for these boys.
Tex and Red were surrendered as they have Cerebellar Abiotrophy (CA) which is an inherited neurodegenerative disease, making them unable to be working dogs and leaving them âwobblyâ.
Tex and Red are the ultimate companion dogs! They love nothing more than a snuggle on the couch or in bed, playing with their toys and following their foster mum around to do her daily farm work...
Although a little stumbly and wobbly the boys are the absolute happiest and sweetest pups! Despite being 10 weeks old theyâve both already learnt how to sit, lay down, pretty much perfected recall and âon your bedâ. They really are the smartest little boys that try so hard to please! The boys love all humans and get on well with other dogs, theyâve also been around cats, horses, and sheep and absolutely adore children!
We are looking for special homes for our little darlings that either have some knowledge of CA or understanding homes willing to learn about their condition. They are very playful, active and super smart! We will be needing homes able to accommodate that with a lot of love and patience. Weâre also looking for someone who is home more often than not as these boys cannot be left alone all day. They can be left alone but would prefer someone thatâs not out all day. They will bring so much joy to your life, perhaps someone retired whose looking for the sweetest companions đĽ°
There is no cure for CA, these boys will have the wobbles for life and need a home that understands that. Otherwise, they are the happiest dogs that donât let their disability get in the way of life đť
If youâre interested please enquire within and we can have a chat about their needs đž
