About Moon
* Please read the entire profile
* not for interstate adoption
* You MUST have another well-adjusted, friendly medium/large-sized dog over the age of two that is able to be a good role model and help Moon navigate the world.
Profile and needs in a home
Moon is a loving and playful boy. He is a bit shy at the start but warms to you very quickly, and will follow you wherever you go!
He loves nothing more than laying on the couch and cuddling with his humans or sun baking after his morning walk and breakfast.
Moon had not had much socialisation before coming into care but luckily he is still young and his foster carer is a dog trainer so he is getting lots of help and he has come a long way in the last few weeks.
Profile and needs in a home
Moon still requires ongoing training and socialisation so needs an owner committed to ongoing force-free training, mental stimulation, exercise and outings so that he continues to grow and develop into a good canine citizen.
Exercise: Moon is still a puppy and loves getting out and about. He needs daily walks. He walks well on the lead once he gets to know you, although loud sounds do still scare him a bit so his new owners need to be careful not to flood/overwhelm him in busier environments atm whilst continuing to introduce him slowly to new areas and experiences. Moon enjoys sniffing everything he walks past and chasing birds and prefers quieter areas within dog parks. He also loves playing with toys and loves anything that squeaks.
Moon is looking for a home that will allow him access inside at all times. Moon is house-trained provided he has access to the outside. He enjoys cuddling up and sleeping next to his humans at night so a home where Moon will be part of the family is MUST.
Moon would be best suited to a home with a secure garden as he will be a large dog, he needs room to roam and roll around in the sun.
A home where his humans are home more often than not is important, Moon loves to be around his humans and really thrives with company. He’d best suit a home where his people work from home or are not away from home for long periods
Grooming: Moon has a short coat.
Please send as much detail as possible with your enquiry about yourself and the home you are able to provide including information on your other dog, family members, lifestyle, training, exercise, and outings you will provide Moon, how often Moon would be alone, where he will have access in the home and where he would sleep of a night, where Moon would go if you went away and could not take him with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide so that we can see if Moon is a good fit for you.
Thank you
