About Flo
*In foster care in Erskineville, Sydney*
Bright and curious with the cutest little face (and the sweetest meow too!), Flo is an absolute darling on the hunt for her forever home!
This lovely young tabby enjoys hanging out while you cook or watch TV, or playing games with her favourite 'Da Bird' wand toy. When she gets excited during playtime she's known to jump around hilariously and kick her back legs off the wall, like a skateboard trick! She's fascinated by water - watching, mesmerised, as it swirls down the shower drain, and planting one foot in her water bowl while she drinks :)
Flo is both interested in human company and very independent - pleased to be a part of the family, but also purrfectly happy to nap the day away in a quiet spot. She's slowly warming up to the idea of being a lap cat, but for now she's content to sleep at your feet on the bed at night :) In her new home, Flo will need a good scratching post, a nice pot of cat grass (of a size she can squish into, preferably!), and a high spot to hang out on.
Like all Maggie's pets, Flo is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... should be on the quieter side - I'm still a little skittish and will take some time to adapt to my new environment. I don't mind if you're home all day, or have to work out of the house, so long as there are pats and games and regular food!
I respond really strongly to playing games with my humans and will bond quickly with you if you take the time to develop trust and affection with me. It's definitely my rules when it comes to pats and I may swipe if I feel unsure - so calm and patient humans are all I need to win me over.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Pretty chill, really! I basically just nap all day, but I do get quite active in the mornings and at night before bed. I like to explore every room, look out the windows at the outside world, and maintain strict bug watch in the house at all times. I'm always up for a play but will tire quickly and settle down for a snooze. I just love living the housecat life!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'd be OK with older kids who can be gentler and quieter. I haven't lived with any young kids yet so an older kids/adult-only household would suit me best. I have conditions when it comes to being touched, and might swipe your hand away if I'm not happy about it!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'm pretty independent but like to see what the other resident cats are up to! (If just to stickybeak and see what's going on.) But I'm content to do my own thing for the most part. I've lived with one dog before.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
