About Mary
Well hello humans! My name is Mary, and my foster mum says this is because I look like a little lamb... (creative wasn't she? *eye roll*)
I came to the RSPCA in a terrible state, all matted and uncared for. Luckily once I realised I was finally in a safe place, I started my journey to recovery! I do have some medical conditions to be aware of, like atopy (allergic, itchy skin which is under control with a drug called apoquel) and I've also had some troubles with ear infections. My new human will need to be prepared for the ongoing medical costs involved in keeping me comfortable and healthy!
Now a little bit about ME! While I might start off a bit shy to begin with, all I really want is a human to snuggle on the couch with, and it won't take me long to find the cozy spots...on your lap or chest tend to be my faves :)
I fell deeply in love with one of my foster sister, who happens to be a kitty cat. Of the naked variety (sphynx)! Who knew something so strange looking could be such a great cuddle buddy?! My other foster sister (a dopey medium size doggo) didn't bother me, but I think that's because she is a little blind and really not the smartest! My *ideal* family would have a human who spends most of their time at home, because honestly I am happiest when I have my human. I'd probably prefer being the only doggo in the home, but might be swayed by a social small canine friend and I wouldn't say no to another feline companion as long as they won't beat me up! Children are a bit much for me, so older teens or adults in the home only please.
