Xenon is a lovely chap who has embraced the couch-dog life since he came into care. He is a great snuggler and chiller. Xenon has lost his front right leg due to an old untreated injury but has healed very well and does not let this hamper him in the least.
Xenon loves to go for walks and is pretty good on the lead (some adjustments may be required but overall easy to walk). He is also absolutely fine being left home on his own, by himself or with other dogs.
Xenon is mostly fine with other dogs and is keen to play. He can get a bit rough in the heat of the moment and therefore supervision is required until it is determined that the other dog is ok to handle him if he gets a bit much. He does stop immediately when corrected. Has to also be supervised around treats like pig’s ears, bones etc if other dogs are around. Fine with food. Xenon has also been learning that mouthing at your human’s arm when wanting to play is not an acceptable behavior. This happens rarely but would make him unsuitable for a household with young children.
Xenon is being fostered with two resident small dogs and a large foster sibling and after a few teething issues has settled in very well.
Xenon has an eye condition for which he will require daily eye drops and annual check ups at an eye-specialist vet.
Will happily be an only pet although other dogs will be considered.
Xenon has been one of the easiest fosters I’ve had, aside from the occasional outburst of roughness he has been amazing.
