Our gorgeous Melani is letting us know that she’s well and truely ready to find a home.

With her yellow eyes and beautiful tortie coat, it goes without saying that she’s an absolute stunner, but there’s so much more to this cat than what you can see in her photos.

She’s very people-oriented, and she will zoom over to the first open lap she sees, purring and ready for a snuggle at any time of the day. She loves a pat around her face and head, and will stare up at you with complete adoration if you can scratch that specific spot between her ears.

She’s active and intelligent, and still plays like a kitten with any toys she is given. She loves to pounce after her mice and chase the birdie on a string, and when she gets a bit bored she can keep herself well entertained with a good cat scratcher.

Melani is a social butterfly and will fit right in to a home with other cats. It’s a firm no to dogs, however, as she thinks they’re just a bit too scary.

As she’s only a year old, Melani is still learning how to be polite when she‘s saying “no”. She will swat or mouth people when they don’t pay attention to her body language when patting, and so we don’t want her going to a family with young children.

If you’re in the market for a new little friend to snuggle up to you at night and keep you entertained during the day, she’s definitely the kitty for you. She’s currently living in Northcote with her foster mum and would love a visit!

Milani would be best suited to an indoor and outdoor lifestyle, a farm situation or someone on acreage
