About Lexie
Lexie *really* wants to be your bestie! đ„č
She love love loves her people, once she decides you're a safe friend, too many pats are never enough. Lexie is extremely talented at wiggling onto your lap for cuddles and reminds you to keep patting with sweet little nudges of her adorable snoot.
Someone didn't give this girl the memo that she was supposed to be a 'working dog' she will happily nap most of the day, never being seen far away from her favourite human!
She does have a very clever working-dog brain and aims to please (with a smidge of heeler attitude in there just to keep you entertained) her recall is excellent, even when she reaaaalllyyy wants to go chase the ducks, and she's got the basic commands (sit, drop, shake, off the couch, go to bed) down-pat.
Don't let her refined age fool you though, the only thing Lexie cares more about than cuddles is her ball (PLEEEAAASEEEE throw ball??? Again, and again, and again- inside/outside, she doesn't care, just.throw.ball.). Lexie transforms from couch potato to Energizer bunny the second she sees you pick up that ball (she gets the most adorable, goofy, bouncy fluff-butt wiggle when it's play time!).
She's also very excited for car rides and takes no convincing to leap up into the car, ready for adventure (Lexie is a model doggie in the car, she lays/sits down the entire trip- you can so easily forget she's even there). đ
After a tiring day of getting snuggled and chasing her ball, Lexie is a very good girl who will go and sleep on her own bed when asked- although she would much prefer to curl up at your feet (she makes a very tiny ball and stays still the whole night, given half the chance she sneaks up onto our bed without anyone even noticing) đđ€
