About Jimba
Please meet JIMBA, a very sweet-tempered and affectionate male Border Collie mix pup, born on 19 April 2022.
Jimba was one of 10 pups born in our care to his darling mum, Morgan, whose photo is the last one in this profile.
He's a super smoochy boy and loves people, especially children. One of his favourite pastimes is snuggling up on the lounge with his human foster sister, aged nine.
Jimba's very dog-friendly and quickly made friends with the older, stronger and bigger foster dog, Max. Being a very clever boy and definitely not dominant, Jimba knew it was in his interests to forge a relationship with Max. If anything, Jimba's inclined to be a little submissive. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body and is definitely a lover, not a fighter.
He loves his food, sleeps through the night and is house-trained.
He knows his basic manners, is learning how to walk on a lead and is becoming accustomed to riding in a car.
Clever and eager to please, Jimba would make a delightful family dog or companion. He's always lived with other dogs, so would probably prefer to have a canine mate.
At maturity, we expect him to be a similar size to his mum, Morgan, who weighs less than 20 kgs.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time AND/OR there is another compatible dog for Jimba to play with. Previous breed experience will be well regarded. As always, secure fencing is essential.
If you are interested in meeting Jimba and can offer him a suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Jimba's adoption fee is $550. He is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
He's available for interstate adoption.
