On Hold
About Jack - 2 Year Old Labrador X (On Hold)
Meet Jack, a 2 year old black Labrador X. This stunning boy is very affectionate.
At home, Jack is a chilled out dude who loves to follow you around and cuddle up to you on the couch. He is very gentle with people, including with children. Jack hardly ever jumps up and he knows how to sit on command. He knows how to behave in the home and he has exceptional manners. Jack sits calmly next to his humans while they eat and does not try to steal their food.
Jack is fully toilet trained and sleeps through the night indoors without any issue. He doesn’t chew any furniture and is an all-round well-mannered guy.
Jack experiences reactivity towards other dogs when out of the home, as he is fearful of unknown dogs. This means that he gets overstimulated when seeing other dogs and he barks at them. Jack needs to go to a home with no other dogs. He will not suit being at an off-leash beach or park.
Jack would benefit from someone who is willing to work with a trainer to help guide him through his insecurities and to ensure he increases his confidence around other dogs.
Jack's ideal home would be one where he is the only dog in the household.
As Jack is quite strong on the leash the new family will need someone who is physically fit and able to manage him on leash.
Jack is a very affectionate and loving boy and he gives the best cuddles. We liken him to a big black bear. As Jack loves human company, he would need to be welcomed inside when the family is home and be involved in her new family’s life. Jack would benefit from someone that is home most of the time or works part time. Jack’s new home will need good fencing that is at least 5ft tall with no small gaps. Unfortunately, rural fencing (eg: mesh or
wire) is not suitable.)
