About Rocco
Hi my name is Rocco,
I am a 3yo kelpie x cattle dog boy. I am a happy and energetic boy who loves going for runs with my doggy mates and spending time with my human friends. I am pretty good at all the basics including sit and stay and I wait patiently for my dinner.
I sometimes need reminding to not pull on leash but in experienced hands, I walk on a loose leash. I am great with small humans and cats and have no interest in chasing livestock so I would be great on property that has horses or other livestock that are off-limits.
I can lack confidence on the lead in new situations and unfamiliar dogs, and can be a bit lead reactive in these times. So I will need a committed owner who will continue working on my training, giving me guidance, and boundaries, and not overwhelming me.
I can also be a bit boisterous with young dominant males which can get me into trouble at times but do well with the older relaxed males and young female dogs that are in care with me.
I would ideally suit a home with lots of space with potentially a female dog companion. I would need a secure area to be kept when my humans are away for long periods as if I am left alone for long periods I can be a bit of an escape artist.
I am not a dog park kind of dog as sometimes I can be reactive with overstimulated dogs. I would ideally suit following someone all day on a big property or going for runs somewhere that I don't have too many doggy encounters. If this sounds like you. I would very quickly become your loyal best mate!

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
