NOTE: You are unable to meet Sugar until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Sugar in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A small doggie playmate who is gentle and calm may be okay as I have lived with a small dog previously but I am NOT keen on bigger dogs.
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I will require a lot of positive socialisations with other dogs so that my behaviour improves and not deteriorates towards them.
• A submissive dog is the best housemate for me. But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love and attention for myself
• I didn’t show much interest in cats when meeting them at the shelter however my confidence is growing and Im becoming more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy, quiet and we must be introduced slowly.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being bouncy
• No small animals, as I may think it fun to chase them

My best features:
• Wiggle butt
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue with my socialization
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended
• I need more training on lead and with my basic doggy manners
