About Banjo
Hi! My name is Banjo, Iām a 22 month old border collie mix, who enjoys to play tug, play with other dogs and belly rubs from my humans.
I need a home with a fenced garden that I can run around in and play. I need someone who is going to continue my training, take me for walks or runs. Someone who can give me lots of their time would be preferable. I like to sleep inside and love being part of a family. Being part of a family would be perfect for me because Iāll have more people around to give me attention.
Banjo is a big goofball who loves a chin scratch and a pat. He is a gentle soul who loves nothing more than a cuddle next to some humans during the day and evening. He loves going on walks and can walk on leash but needs work walking on a loose leash. Banjo loves catching tennis balls, but not giving them back, as well as tug-o-war which he excels at. Banjo is not your average Border Collie as he is a big boy who still loves to play like a puppy with other dogs. Heās gentle but up for a lively play with a dog friend. Banjo manages well whilst walking on lead around a busy suburb and is able to mind his own business.
Banjo has some basic training where he can sit, lie down on command and can wait for the command to eat. He is house trained and will let us know when he needs to go outside. He is food motivated and will do well with more training to walk on a loose leash. Banjo can catch tennis balls but is working on his fetch. Banjo is also working on the command to stay. He is eager to give you a paw shake.
