About Gemini
Meet Gemini! This sweet girl is the epitome of a happy, energetic pup, who is cuddly, curious and loves to play. Her good looks get her noticed everywhere she goes!
Like most pups, Gemini loves her daily walks and must say hello to every person she meets along the way. She is inquisitive and calm when meeting other puppies and dogs her size, but can be a little unsure when meeting dogs bigger than herself. Given a little time however, Gemini will often build up the courage for a quite sniff and say a friendly hello to the big dogs. Gemini is very food motivated and this has helped her lead training come along nicely. She is still getting use to all the activity and loud noises when out and about, but is getting more comfortable with daily exposure and a little reassurance from her foster parents. She will need an owner committed to her ongoing socialisation.
During the day, Gemini will divide her time between playing chase with her four-legged foster sister, running around with her rope toy and napping in the sunshine with her teddy bear, but her favourite activity is chasing and popping bubbles! Gemini has come a long way in terms of being less anxious about being in a separate room to her foster parents or being left alone for short periods of time, so her new parents will need to continue to work with her to get her comfortable with being on her own from time to time.
While in foster care, Gemini has learnt basic commands like, sit, stay, down and her toilet training is progressing well. She has learnt to take herself outside through the doggy door during the day, and will signal she needs to go out at night by sitting by the back door. Her new owners should be committed to ongoing training to ensure she continues her growth into a wonderful canine companion.
If you're after a cuddle bug, Gemini will shower you with lots of love, licks and affection! She loves to climb into her foster parents' lap for a cuddle or snuggle in next to them on the couch and takes every opportunity to get a back scratch. Gemini sleeps indoors in her warm bed at night and will require this in her new home. Routine has helped Gemini settle at bedtime and she now sleeps through the night soundly, however it may take a few nights for her to get use to sleeping in her new surroundings.
Gemini loves company, so she would suit a home with another playful dog and someone who’s home a few days a week. Ideally the home will not have cats and any kids would need to be of high school age. Being a moderately active pup, Gemini will require daily exercise and stimulation, so we are looking for a home with owners who are committed to her on-going training and taking her on daily walks and adventures.
If you’re missing a snuggle bug in your life and think Gemini fits the description, fill out an adoption enquiry form found on our website as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
