A MESSAGE FROM HIS CARER
“ Macca is the best dog you can ask for. He is affectionate, calm, happy and very much a lap dog. There was a minor potty incident in the very beginning but he now goes to the balcony to pee and poo 100% of the time. He doesn't bark when left alone and every time I walk in the front door it's a party time for him and he enjoys sitting next to me and watching TV. He doesn't quite seem to enjoy the walks and when I take him outside he gets nervous and keeps looking back. He is not aggressive in any way, but he gets very intimidated by other dogs. When he sees other dogs on the streets, he freezes up and tries to go the other way. I think he is perfect for singles and elderlies, especially those who can't take him out for walks often. I don't recommend Macca to go to a home with children as he is a very calm dog and enjoys a quiet lifestyle.
Macca is a beautiful boy and will make the perfect companion.”
Macca is a super little guy who has been treated badly in his life. He was neglected and hit , even though he is small, only 8 kg. Some people are bullies. So he needs a kind and patient person. His carer takes it very slow and he responds incredibly well. They are considerate and try not to pressure him, they build trust and encourage him. We are looking for the same in a new home.
Macca has a weak bladder, and needs access to a secure yard, like someone with a doggie door. For this reason he wouldn’t suit and apartment .
He hasn’t been inappropriately punished for this and it means you’ll have to be a very kind and gentle person to help him through the training. ( you’ll need to address this in your application)
Please use the link that we supply in this profile, and send in an online application demonstrating that you’ve read and understand Maccas needs. You’ll need to add this information into your application. You might include any experience with a dog of a similar nature, or your ability to take it slow and be gently and kind.
