About Boomer
Handsome, gentle and sweet , huggable Boomer. Always eager to explore the outdoors until he gets tired, and that's when he will find his way inside to his dog bed or by your feet and have a nap. His beautiful face will always make you smile and his nature will always make you laugh.
Boomer currently weighs in at 7-1/2 kilos of chubby puppy fat so based on this we feel he will only be a med size boy at full growth
Boomer arrived into the rescue with his Mummy Teeny Tiny a gorgeous little Heeler x Jack Ruseel and his 5 siblings some 6 weeks ago
He spent the first 4 weeks on a farm becoming very well rounded with all things "country " and then went off to a loving foster home to be weaned
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
Boomer has had 2 sets of puppy vaccines and is fully wormed
Food
Boomer is currently eating three times a day of premium dry food. Boomer loves to eat and he has got the feeding routine down pat. He knows exactly when it is meal time and he will run to his spot and sit and wait for you to put his bowl down (if you are too slow, on occasion he will give a little bark). For training I use boiled chicken cut into small pieces. Boomer takes food from your hand gently and shows no sign of food aggression.
Traveling in the car
Boomer is happy to travel in the car, he is nice and relaxed in the car. I would encourage you to continue taking Boomer for car trips, so that as he ages he will still enjoy them.
Visitors
Boomer is a very confident boy and has no issues when you have visitors of any age come over. He will run up to them to greet them and expect plenty of hugs and cuddles.
Enrichment
Boomer is surrounded by other dogs and toys currently. He is slowly learning to fetch but refuses to bring the ball back. Boomer loves a good game of tug of war or stealing a toy from my sibling.
Independence
Boomer is fiercely independent and is happy to entertain himself as long as he has toys. Given his age he will chew on things that aren't toys, so if you plan on leaving him alone you will need to put up items that you don't wish a puppy to chew.
Walks- Lead experience
Boomer has not been for a proper walk as of yet but he has been practising his lead training out the front. Being such a confident boy he has no issues walking on a lead. Boomer will need further lead training.
Obedience
Boomer will sit on command, and is slowly learning the drop command. Boomer will need to attend puppy school to further his training and socialisation.
Inside
Boomer is fantastic inside and will either curl up on his bed or at your feet. He has toys inside that he likes to play with and will entertain himself. However being a puppy he can get into mischief when it suits him. Boomer will also follow you around the house and try to steal the broom from you.
Dog Socialistaion, cats and other small animals
Boomer has been well socialised with a mixture of dogs of all different sizes and breeds. Boomer is currently living with 4 other dogs and 2 of his siblings.
Boomer has not been tested with cats but given his age we do not believe he should have any issues as long as your cat is dog savvy.
Sleeping
Boomer
Has been sleeping either in his dog bed or next to me. During the day he sleeps either in his dog bed or at your feet. He goes to sleep at 9pm and stays asleep until 7am
Toilet Training
Boomer is going fantastic with his toileting, however he will need further help with this. As soon as he wakes up we take him straight outside and after he has eaten.
Adoption Requirements or Boomer

Hi ✌

If you feel the dog described in the profile is a suitable match for you please send us a short overview of the home you can provide and we will send you an application for if we think we have your perfect match 😍

Reading the full profile of our dogs up for adoption is crucial to your application being acceptable
If we have a specific criteria and your application does not suit we will not contact as we know these dogs and what is the best home for them
