About Ziggy
What do you get if you mix 1 part German Shepherd, throw in a hand full of Border Collie, a spoon full of love, pinch of cuteness and a dash of intelligence...
You get yourself a Ziggy, who at 7 months of age finds herself surrendered to the shelter through no fault of her own and in need of a new beginning.
Still a young and energetic pup but one who has mastered the basics of training and is eager to please, this girl would excel at further obedience training, either professional or with an owner with a bit of a training background.
Loyal to a fault and very loving of whom ever she meets Ziggy would become a fantastic family pet and fast include herself in the day to day of the home, wanting to join you on your walks, drives and holidays.
Super dog social this girl enjoys interacting with others, loves playing games but is also quiet respectful of other dogs and does listen if told off by a less tolerant canine playmate.
A spot on the couch or in front of the fire, perhaps the odd night curled up in your bed, lots of love and cuddles and the odd treat are all that Ziggy asks for in return for a life full of affection and loyalty.
If you think you have a Ziggy size gap in your life that we might be able to assist with filing then reach out to BARC on 5441 -2209 to arrange to come on in and meet this special girl.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
