About 🥑Guacamole & Tzatziki🧄
The year was 2022, and a litter of 2 week old, malnourished, sick and motherless kittens were abandoned at a shelter, with little chance of survival.
The tiny little "runt" (Tzatzki) was half the size of her siblings – too small and born with only 3 legs looked to have little chance of survival. Her older sister (Guacamole, aka Guaca or Cookie), though bigger was as sickly as Tzatziki (aka Ziki or Chichi) was small and looking like she too had little chance of surviving.
In a litter of 5, these two needed each other the most, and were bonded from they day they were fostered, and have remained inseparable since. SO attached to one another that they are practically one cat with two heads and 7 legs. Since they were tiny, where Ziki was, Guaca went and to this day, they remain this way.
From their foster mother: “Of the 40-something kittens I have fostered, where some 10 sets of siblings have been adopted together because of their closeness, I have never witnessed a bond like this. These sisters are not just from the same litter, they are twins. They have their own little language where they coo as they play or chirp when looking for each other. When you get one cuddle, you get two. If someone comes up on the bed for snuggles, the other will follow, so not only do they have so much love for each other, but there is twice the love for you. I didn’t know that kittens could be like this, and in a home where there were 7 foster kittens and 2 permanent cats, this sisterhood was evident above all other relationships that took place. It is one of the most stunning things I have ever seen between my foster cats.”
Twice the cuddles, double the laughs and two times more love than you can ask for, this pair are an absolute delight and would be the most exquisite addition to any family!
Both Tzatziki (aka Ziki) and Guacamole (aka Guaca or GooGoo) are cuddlers and snugglers.
They absolutely love their humans as much as they adore each other. Always playing and getting up to the funniest of shenanigans, these twinsies are rarely apart and always so very busy. These girls are looking for a home together as we would hate to break up such a great pairing.
Despite a very sad start to life, being abandoned with their siblings at only 2 weeks of age and having multiple parasite and fungal infections on arrival, the girls are now happy, healthy and ready to start their forever lives.
Chatty little kitties, the sisters like to call out to their humans, to let you know where they are, find out where you are or demand a cuddle. Each would love to be in your arms all day long, watching everything you do, snuggling into your chin or just sitting on your lap while you watch tv. Bedtime is THEIR time and if you’re the lucky person(s) who get to add Ziki and Guaca to your family, you will have yourselves a couple of teddy bears in the shape of cats.
Individually each has their own personality! Guaca is a little lady, who likes to follow you around the house asking you what you are doing and waiting for that cuddle. Ziki is determined and feisty and loves to flop at your feet for a belly rub.
You may notice that Ziki was born without one of her front legs but it doesn’t stop her from running and jumping all over the place. This is not a condition that will need ongoing care, just an understanding that her new home should be single-storey. In addition to her missing leg, Ziki is bi-eyed, meaning she has 2 different coloured eyes, resulting an incredibly unique looking young lady!
They are both extremely loving cats, sweet and affectionate but also rather independent and self assured so will happily keep each other company while their family is out during the day. No trouble at all, they will bring joy to the lucky one(s) who take them into their forever home!!
These girls would happily live in a home with or without kids as long as they are respectful and kind to them. They have lived happily with others cats and would be okay living with cat-friendly dogs with a slow introduction. They must have an indoor only home to protect them from the sun and obviously a three-legged cat is not suitable for an outdoor life.
Ziki and Guac are in care in Elwood.
