About Jasmine
Jasmine is now seeking her forever home
Jaz is a 5 month old Border Collie x Whippet x Pointer
Jasmine is such a sweetheart and has such a beautiful nature that it makes looking after her such a joy . Jasmine's favourite thing to do is to run and also play with water. Jasmine has been to the beach and had an absolute ball. Jasmine is looking for a special person/family who will love her just as much as she will love them, a family who will take her on day trips and include her in as many activities as possible. Jasmine loves to please and when told no she will listen and stop. Jasmine will sit on your knee or next to you while you watch tv, however sometimes Jasmine likes to have her own space and it will be important that you allow her to have this. Jasmine has been allowed inside/outside as she pleases and uses the dog door.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION
Food
Jasmine is currently being fed saviour life premium puppy dry food (chicken). Jasmine has learnt to sit and wait for her food bowl to be placed before eating. Occasionally with her dinner she has been having boiled chicken which is her favourite food in the entire world. We also use boiled chicken as treats and for training. Jasmine is not fussy at all when it comes to food and will eat anything you put in front of her. Jasmine has shown no signs of food aggression at all.
Sleeping
Jasmine has been sleeping on the end of my bed or on her dog bed. Jasmine sleeps through the night and will not get up until you wake up. During the day she will either nap at your feet or on her dog bed.
Travelling in the car
Jasmine loves going in the car. Jasmine will jump in on her own and lay down and relax. It would be fantastic if Jasmine's new family would continue taking her out on car trips as she really enjoys them.
Independence
Jasmine will entertain herself if left alone outside or inside. Jasmine will run up to you and greet you once you return. Jasmine is not destructive and will either sleep while you are gone or play with her toys.
Visitors
Jasmine loves to meet visitors and has met people of all different ages. However for Jasmine it is better if visitors allow her to come to them and not them chase her around the house trying to pat her. She will feel more comfortable if visitors allow her to approach them when she is ready.
Walks
Jasmine loves going for walks and will sit while you put her harness on. Jasmine walks fantastic on a lead. Jasmine loves to meet new people and other dogs on walks. Jasmine will sit at the corner before crossing roads.
Obedience
Jasmine can sit, drop and stay and knows what no means. She will come when you call her name. Jasmine will take food gently from your hand. Jasmine will need to attend puppy school to further her training and socialisation.
Jasmine is fully toilet trained and has not had any accidents inside the house. However, in her new home I would expect her to have a few accidents until she is comfortable with her new surroundings.
Enrichment
Jasmine loves water play be it the water bowl or the shell pool outside. She also loves to run and run fast and leap. It would be great to see Jasmine's family put her in agility dog training. Jasmine also loves playing with the other dogs in the house and playing zoomies. Jasmine's favourite toys are anything that makes noise.
Dogs/Cats
Jasmine is currently living with many other dogs of all different ages and different breeds. Depending on the dog Jasmine can be very playful or do her own thing. Jasmine tends to be scared of overexcited large dogs. A home with a submissive male medium size dog would be preferred for Jasmine, but homes with no dogs will also be considered. Jasmine can take a little while to trust new dogs, so we definitely will not be putting her in a home with a dog who would be in her face.
Jasmine has been tested with a cat and has shown no interest.
Children
Jasmine has been living with teenage children.
Medical
Jaz is currently on a small dose of lovan each day to help her relax into her new home and should be weaned off this once she has fully settled
