About Pumpkin
Snuggle scope: I'm a shy girl but I do enjoy the occasional pat or quick cuddle. I also like to curl up on the human's bed night
Cat scope: I love other cats! I need them!
Dog scope: They’re ok I guess, if they’re friendly and calm.
Child scope: I'm a bit scared of small, loud humans, especially the ones that try to chase and grab me. If they're calm and quiet I'll play with them
Ideal home: I need an indoor only home where with humans that are very patient, kind and, loving as I am very timid and will be scared at first. It can take some time to get to know me but I promise I will try my best to be the perfect little girl once I've settled in. I would also desperately love a feline companion who will accept me as their own.
About:
Pumpkin is a very lucky little girl. She was rescued at about 5wks of age from the middle of a busy road after a car passed straight over the top of her!!! Luckily a very lovely and stunned lady spotted the petrified little tot and plucked her up before the worst could happen! We were contacted immediately after this miraculous rescue and of course couldn't say no to this poor little baby.
We are not too certain of Pumpkin's background but suspect she was born to a stray cat nearby to where she was found. The poor little thing clearly wasn't used to people and was in quite a state with parasites! Thankfully though this was nothing a few baths and some dewomer couldn't quickly fix, though quarantine was still a must.
Though she was scared of people, it was quickly apparent that Pumpkin hated being alone and yearned to be with other cats. I often saw Pumpkin curiously peeking out the window, watching the other little foster family of a similar age happily playing around and cuddling with their mumma. How she would cry to be with them! So, as soon as it seemed she was well enough, I introduced them all. Much to my delight, little mumma Jasmine accepted her as one of her own, even letting her comfort suckle with the others!!! Meanwhile, her newly adoptive siblings showed her how to be a house cat and taught her that humans were actually ok. So incredibly sweet!
Fast forward a few months and Pumpkin and her adoptive cat family have all had their vetwork done and are looking for their forever homes. Pumpkin has settled into indoor life very well, but is still a bit skittish from her time on the streets. As such, Pumpkin needs a very special human with patience and a big heart. She really is a sweet little girl, and once she feels comfortable she will love to play, accept many a belly rub, and happily curl up on the bed with you contentedly purring.
Since she is so cat oriented and draws her confidence from her companions? Pumpkin will also do best either in a dual adoption with one of her little foster mates or in a home that has at least one other friendly cat for her to become besties with.
